How to copy from Meditech GL / payroll into the paste boxes

  1. 1In Meditech, run your GL detail or payroll report for the month and scroll to the summary that lists each pay / benefit category with its total amount.
  2. 2Select the lines you want (category name in one cell, dollar amount in the next), copy them, and paste into the matching box. A spreadsheet copy arrives tab-separated, which is the easiest to read.
  3. 3Amounts in parentheses like (1,200.50) are read as negatives. Extra numeric columns (like hours) are ignored. Header rows and blank lines are skipped automatically.
  4. 4Paste the other month into the second box, then check the line items below each box and re-assign any category in the dropdown. The dashboard updates as you go.
